Wytec International is preparing for its first pilot demonstration of an integrated solution combining in-building cellular, private LTE, and gunshot detection technology requested by 46 Texas independent school districts. The pilot utilizes the FCC's Citizens Broadband Radio Service (CBRS) to create private, secure wireless connections that eliminate interference from detecting multiple gunshot threat types, addressing what has become an epidemic in American cities and schools. This initiative follows Wytec's recent multi-state government award through the TXShare Cooperative Purchasing Program directed by the North Central Texas Council of Governments.
The master service agreement includes Wytec's AI-integrated smart sensors for deployment across more than 170 US cities, 50 counties, and over 40 special districts including transit authorities, water utility boards, police departments, school districts, and hospitals. Wytec's advanced solutions are supported by more than 75 global patents and patent-pending technologies related to artificial intelligence, machine learning, smart sensors, wireless connectivity, and cloud management. The company has assembled a team with defense industry experience to implement these critical public safety technologies.
Wytec's integrated solution leverages key partnerships with Nextivity Inc. and the Lemko Corporation, both bringing significant expertise in wireless technologies incorporating AI/ML, data science, cybersecurity, transportation, and environmental informatics. The partnership with Nextivity began in 2019 with an RFP award from the Laredo Independent School District and has expanded to include applications at the Johnson Space Center and major commercial buildings. Nextivity's intellectual property includes over 25 patents related to in-building cellular solutions and recently featured gunshot detection technology integrated into Wytec's product solution.
The collaboration with Lemko Corporation, initiated in 2024 through a master service agreement, focuses on providing private LTE networks for commercial and government facilities, including school districts seeking distance learning capabilities. Lemko deploys commercial networks worldwide using 3G, 4G, and 5G wireless technologies and has launched several Private LTE systems utilizing FCC CBRS spectrum. With more than 50 US and international patents, including 28 in Mobile Edge Computing, Lemko provides the secure wireless backbone for Wytec's gunshot detection and drug sensing smart systems.
Wytec will now select one or more of the 1,203 Texas ISDs within TXShare members for its initial pilot project, representing the first demonstration of the company's multi-phase public safety and advanced education initiatives designed to enhance safety and educational capabilities across American communities. The phased approach allows for systematic testing and implementation of the integrated technology solution, ensuring reliability and effectiveness before broader deployment.
