3DX Industries, Inc. (OTCID: DDDX), a U.S.-based advanced manufacturing company, has engaged robotics and artificial-intelligence engineer Vamsi Sripada as Technical Advisor - Advanced Systems, tasking him with leading technical development for the company's Advanced Systems initiative. The engagement, announced via NEWMEDIAWIRE, marks a strategic expansion for a company whose core business has been metal additive manufacturing, industrial printed plastics, precision CNC machining, design support, prototyping, finishing and assembly services.
The implications reach beyond a single hire. Advanced Systems is intended to move 3DX into product development, intelligent physical systems and selected proprietary technology opportunities, while keeping advanced manufacturing at the center of its operating platform. Pairing Sripada's technical capability with 3DX's established manufacturing base gives the company the ability to develop intelligent systems and build their physical components and assemblies in-house, according to the announcement.
That combination matters because it addresses a common gap in the robotics and AI sector, where software and intelligent-system concepts often depend on outside manufacturers for physical realization. "Our manufacturing capabilities provide the physical foundation. Vamsi brings the engineering, robotics, AI and software expertise to help us evaluate ideas, support product development and connect intelligent technologies with real-world manufacturing," said Roger Janssen, President and Chief Executive Officer of 3DX Industries.
Sripada is an electrical, robotics and artificial intelligence engineer whose experience spans autonomous systems, software development, computer vision, LiDAR mapping, embedded electronics, robotic operating systems, controls and hardware integration. His project work includes autonomous drones, underwater robotic systems, mobile robotics and AI-enabled vision applications. He holds a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Bridgeport and a Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering. At 3DX, he will provide technical, engineering and strategic support across artificial intelligence, robotics, automation, software development, product development and advanced manufacturing, including evaluating and advancing selected Advanced Systems opportunities where software, intelligent systems and physical manufacturing intersect.
The company also frames the initiative as a route to proprietary technology. Selected Advanced Systems projects create opportunities for 3DX to develop company-owned software, technologies, products and other intellectual property, including potential control systems, intelligent mechanical subsystems and integrated products for robotics, automation and other autonomous-system applications. "Vamsi strengthens the technical side of that equation and expands our ability to pursue opportunities where robotics, artificial intelligence, software and advanced manufacturing come together," said Nicholas Coriano, Vice President of 3DX Industries.
For investors and industry observers, the announcement positions 3DX to compete in a space where few small-cap manufacturers have both in-house production capacity and dedicated AI and robotics expertise. Sripada said he is excited to work with the 3DX team and contribute to the development of Advanced Systems, adding that bringing robotics, artificial intelligence, software and advanced manufacturing together creates opportunities to develop practical intelligent systems with real-world applications.
