BOXABL Unveils Server Pod Concept to Address Data Center Infrastructure Challenges

BOXABL (NASDAQ: BXBL), a factory-built construction company known for its foldable housing units, has introduced a new design concept aimed at the rapidly expanding data center market. The company unveiled its Server Pod concept, a modular, factory-assembled enclosure designed to house AI and cloud computing infrastructure. However, the company emphasizes that this is only a concept and not currently in production. The initiative serves to demonstrate BOXABL's manufacturing capabilities and to invite data center developers, operators, and equipment vendors to explore custom design and manufacturing partnerships.

The Server Pod concept configurations range from a 10-foot unit with an estimated 0.5 petaflop tier to a 2,500-square-foot Server Tron capable of 16 petaflops per second. Actual configurations, engineering, cooling approaches, and equipment will be determined in collaboration with customers. BOXABL believes that factory-built, repeatable structures could help address the speed, cost, and labor challenges facing the data center industry. Citing JLL’s 2026 Global Data Center Market Outlook, the company notes that the sector is expected to grow at a 14% compound annual growth rate through 2030, with roughly 100 GW of new capacity coming online from 2026 through 2030 and up to $3 trillion in total investment potentially required.

BOXABL is actively seeking engagement with data center developers, hyperscalers, colocation providers, equipment manufacturers, and other partners interested in contracting the company to design and manufacture custom modular structures. The company cautions that there is no assurance that any agreement will be reached or that any Server Pod or similar product will be built. This strategic move comes as the demand for AI and cloud services continues to surge, putting unprecedented pressure on data center construction timelines and resources.

BOXABL, founded in 2017, has raised over $230 million from more than 50,000 investors. Based in North Las Vegas, the company is dedicated to transforming the housing industry through innovative technology and design, with a mission to make housing affordable at mass-production scale. Its flagship product, the Casita, is a 361-square-foot studio unit that unfolds on-site in under an hour. The company also offers the smaller 120-square-foot Baby Box and is developing stackable and connectable modules for townhomes, multifamily units, and larger single-family homes. BOXABL began trading on the Nasdaq Stock Market under the ticker symbol “BXBL” on July 20, 2026, following the completion of its business combination with FG Merger II Corp.
