Datavault AI Appoints Dr. Barry Childe as Chief Information Security Officer to Strengthen Cybersecurity

Datavault AI (NASDAQ: DVLT), a provider of data monetization, credentialing, digital engagement and real-world asset tokenization technologies, has appointed Dr. Barry Childe as chief information security officer. In this role, Childe will lead the company’s cybersecurity strategy, strengthen data protection across its tokenization, valuation and secure data monetization platforms and oversee initiatives focused on AI security and quantum-resistant technologies.

Childe brings more than 40 years of experience in cybersecurity, high-performance computing, cloud infrastructure and distributed-ledger technology, including leadership positions at HSBC, Barclays Capital, The Royal Bank of Scotland and VMware, as well as co-founding quantum-encryption company Arqit. CEO Nathaniel T. Bradley said Childe’s expertise in cryptography, high-performance computing and quantum-resistant security will help support the company’s secure infrastructure as it expands its tokenization, valuation and data monetization platforms.

The appointment comes at a critical time as cybersecurity threats evolve and quantum computing poses new risks to data encryption. By adding a seasoned executive with deep knowledge in quantum-resistant technologies, Datavault AI is positioning itself to address these future challenges. The company’s platforms handle sensitive data across multiple industries, including high-performance computing software licensing for sports, entertainment, biotech, fintech, real estate, healthcare and energy. Ensuring robust security is essential to maintaining trust and compliance.

Datavault AI’s technology suite includes the Information Data Exchange, which enables Digital Twins and the licensing of name, image and likeness by securely attaching physical real-world objects to immutable metadata. This process relies on strong security measures to prevent unauthorized access or tampering. Childe’s leadership will be instrumental in safeguarding these assets and ensuring the integrity of the tokenization process.
