"AI would have never picked me for this role," he notes. "They said, 'We have faith in you. Be yourself. Learn first, question second,'" Romanella recalls. "Someone believed in me before I believed in myself."
Romanella warns that the pervasive narrative that "AI will replace people" is not only inaccurate but also demeaning, diminishing the dignity of workers and discouraging the next generation. He urges leaders to step into the gap and remind people of their value. "AI is the bus to the future — but people must drive the bus," he asserts.
