MindBio Therapeutics Corp. (CSE: MBIO) (OTCQB: MBQIF) is expanding its AI-driven voice technology to include fatigue detection, targeting high-risk workplace environments. The company, which commercializes voice-based intoxication detection, announced the development of a fatigue prediction model designed to identify signs of fatigue from short voice samples.
The fatigue detection capability is expected to become an additional feature within MindBio’s planned Edge AI Intoxication Detection Kiosks, which are being designed to identify signs of alcohol, drug impairment and fatigue. This move reflects a broader strategy to position voice analytics as a scalable alternative to conventional impairment screening methods such as breathalyzers, saliva tests, urine analysis and laboratory-based toxicology testing.
Rather than relying on physical samples, the company’s platform analyzes speech characteristics captured through a microphone and processes the audio using machine learning models trained on large voice datasets. The AI prediction model uses over 50 million data points to predict alcohol intoxication with remarkable accuracy, just by using the human voice.
MindBio is developing an enterprise platform including Edge-AI kiosks integrating bespoke hardware and software for the detection of drug and alcohol intoxication using the human voice and AI in a range of enterprise environments including the mining industry, aviation, construction and law enforcement. The addition of fatigue detection could further broaden the platform's applications, particularly in sectors where operator fatigue is a critical safety concern.
