q.beyond AG has successfully completed its public share buyback offer, first published on 28 August 2026. The offer, which sought to repurchase up to 2,491,589 company shares, attracted tenders for a total of 4,878,907 shares by the expiry of the acceptance period, resulting in significant oversubscription. Consequently, acceptances were allocated on a prorated basis at a ratio of 51.07%. Ultimately, q.beyond is repurchasing 2,490,905 treasury shares, representing approximately 10% of all shares in the company. Based on the offer price of EUR 3.78 per share, the total purchase price amounts to around EUR 9.42 million, fully exhausting the announced volume.
The buyback is a strategic move to deploy the company's substantial net liquidity. Thies Rixen, q.beyond's CEO, explained, “In light of our current valuation, purchasing treasury shares represented the best option for deploying our high volume of net liquidity. Our accelerated AI transformation is currently creating an ever-stronger basis for growing our profitability and opening up new prospects for our shares. I am therefore convinced that this investment will pay off for q.beyond and our shareholders.” This decision signals management's confidence in the company's intrinsic value and its ability to generate future returns.
The buyback also reinforces q.beyond's accelerated AI transformation. As a leading IT partner for SMEs, q.beyond focuses on sovereign IT solutions, proprietary certified AI data centres, public and private clouds, business-critical applications based on Microsoft and SAP technologies, artificial intelligence, and IT security. With over 1,000 specialists across Germany, Latvia, Spain, Romania, India, and the USA, the company is well-positioned to help European customers future-proof their business models. The repurchase of shares is expected to enhance earnings per share and provide a stronger foundation for profitability growth.
Settlement, and thus payment of the purchase price to custodian banks, is expected to take place on 7 October 2026. Any shares that could not be allocated will be transferred back to the original ISIN DE000A41YDG0. The full details of the offer are available in the original release on www.newmediawire.com.
This buyback matters because it demonstrates q.beyond's commitment to returning value to shareholders while simultaneously investing in its AI-driven future. By reducing the number of shares outstanding, the company aims to increase earnings per share, which can attract more investors and support the share price. Moreover, the strong demand for the buyback indicates investor confidence in q.beyond's strategy. As the company continues to expand its AI capabilities, the buyback provides a solid financial base for growth. For more information about q.beyond, visit www.qbeyond.de.
