Sentinel AI and Webull Pilot Targets Retail Investor Sentiment as Retail Trading Hits 36% of U.S. Volume

Sentinel AI and Webull have launched a joint pilot program that pairs real-time sentiment analysis with targeted investor communications, aiming to help publicly traded companies engage retail investors more directly. The initiative combines Sentinel AI's technology for tracking bullish and bearish narratives across social media and online news with Webull's Corporate Connect Service, which gives companies verified pages inside the trading platform. The arrangement matters because retail investors now account for as much as 36% of U.S. stock market trading, according to JPMorgan data cited in the announcement, compared with a 10-year average of roughly 12%. That shift gives individual investors far greater influence over share prices, yet companies often lack a structured way to hear and respond to the narratives driving retail trading decisions.

Under the program, companies can identify emerging investor sentiment and work with their investor relations teams to develop approved responses delivered directly through Webull, which reports more than 29 million registered users worldwide. Sentinel AI founder and CEO Krishan Arora said the program aims to connect emerging market narratives with company responses delivered directly to investors at the point of trade. Webull Head of Capital Markets Michael Christoph said the collaboration will help companies address questions relevant to retail investors. Mark Roberts, managing partner at The Blueshirt Group, noted that real-time sentiment insights could improve the effectiveness of corporate messaging.

The pilot will initially involve a select group of public companies, with broader expansion planned after an evaluation of initial results. The program's significance lies in its attempt to close the communication gap between issuers and the retail investors who increasingly move stocks based on online narratives rather than fundamentals alone. Sentinel AI, which says more than 200 public companies representing over $250 billion in combined market capitalization rely on its platform, is part of the Narravance ecosystem; additional details are available at www.Sentinel.inc.
