HR.com, the largest network of human resources executives, has established the Future of Career Development & Mobility Advisory Board 2024, comprising distinguished industry experts who will collaborate with the HR Research Institute to deliver comprehensive insights and practical strategies for enhancing career development across organizations. This initiative addresses critical workforce challenges including skills gaps, internal mobility barriers, and the need for effective career development programs that directly impact business success.

The advisory board's collective expertise will guide upcoming research and a virtual event exploring multiple facets of career development, including organizational engagement levels, implementation challenges, strategic best practices, and resource allocation to prevent workforce skills shortages. The research will specifically examine the current state of internal mobility within organizations, identifying factors that hinder employee movement between roles and how internal mobility contributes to comprehensive career development programs.

Research findings from this initiative will be published in a detailed report offering actionable recommendations, accompanied by a condensed two-page infographic for quick reference to key insights. The virtual event scheduled for December 4, 2024, will feature informative sessions from subject matter experts in the field.
