J3D.AI Labs has announced that the 2027 edition of House of Collaboration (HoC) will convene under the theme "Antifragile Alliances and Responsible Technology Development in a Multi-Polar World." The five-day programme is scheduled for 17–21 January 2027 at Hotel Cresta Sun in Davos, Switzerland, running concurrently with the annual gathering of global leaders. The announcement signals a strategic response to the accelerating fragmentation of trade, technology, and security along competing blocs, where each new shock pushes partners further apart.

The theme draws on the concept of antifragility, coined by Nassim Nicholas Taleb, which describes systems that gain from stress. HoC 2027 asks how leaders can build alliances that become stronger through shocks—partnerships that learn from disruptions, spread risk across many actors, and keep functioning when one part fails. This matters because traditional alliances often fracture under pressure; an antifragile approach could redefine how governments, businesses, and researchers collaborate across divides.

The 2026 edition of HoC welcomed more than 850 delegates from over 70 countries, with over 120 speakers and 25 partners, including ministers from the New Nordics (NB8) countries and leaders from UNESCO, Invest India, NVIDIA, Cerebras, SAP, and S&P Global. HoC 2027 will again host a delegation from India and expand the New Nordics track, indicating a continued emphasis on bridging diverse regions and sectors.

"Division is now the default setting of global affairs," said Yip Thy Diep Ta, Co-Founder and CEO of J3D.AI. "In a multi-polar world, collaboration is no longer a courtesy. It is a strategic asset. We do not ask our delegates to agree on everything. We ask them to sit at one table, name their tensions honestly. An antifragile alliance is not one without conflict or disagreement. It is one that gets wiser every time it is tested."

The programme is structured as five named summits: Cybernetic Foresight Roundtables, Human Flourishing Summit, New Nordics Innovation Summit, Bridges to Europe Summit, and Capital & Wealth Summit. Sessions will examine how frontier technologies such as AI, quantum computing, space, and cyber security can be developed responsibly when no single power sets the rules. Topics include sovereign and resilient infrastructure, the energy demand of next-generation data centres, and how public and private actors can share standards without sharing every interest. The emphasis on small, decision-dense rooms ensures that every conversation includes the people who can act on it.

A highlight of the week is the Gathering of Decacorns, Unicorns, and Soonicorns on 21 January, designed for founders of high-growth companies—from those on track to a USD 1 billion valuation to those valued above USD 10 billion—along with investors, capital allocators, and policymakers. "Responsible technology cannot be built by one country, one company or one bloc," said Kevin Varend, Co-Founder and Managing Director of J3D.AI. "The builders, the regulators and the capital have to be in the same room early, not after the damage is done. House of Collaboration gives them a neutral place to do that, and a community that keeps them connected for the rest of the year."

Participation is by invitation and application, with a limited number of residencies combining full-week participation and accommodation. The implications of this announcement extend beyond the event itself: in a world where collaboration is increasingly treated as a strategic asset, HoC 2027 aims to forge alliances that not only withstand shocks but emerge stronger, potentially setting a precedent for how leaders navigate a fragmented global landscape.
