Opawica Positions Arrowhead Gold Property for Major Drilling Phase with 25 High-Priority Targets

Opawica Explorations Inc. (TSXV: OPW) (FSE: A2PEAD) (OTCQB: OPWEF) has announced that its 100%-owned Arrowhead Gold Property in Quebec's Abitibi Greenstone Belt is poised for a significant drilling phase. The company has compiled decades of historical data with modern geological techniques, including AI-assisted targeting and 3D modeling, to identify 25 high-priority drill targets. This positions Arrowhead for systematic testing of its mineralized systems, which could unlock substantial value.

The upcoming program, approximately 10,000 meters, aims to test the continuity and extensions of known gold zones, as well as deeper targets. Arrowhead's strategic location adjacent to Agnico Eagle's LaRonde Complex, which has produced over eight million ounces of gold since 1988, underscores its potential. However, mineralization on adjacent properties is not necessarily indicative of Arrowhead's potential.

Arrowhead's exploration history dates back to the 1920s, with early work reporting high-grade gold values, including 45.05 g/t Au and chip samples up to 90.75 g/t Au over 1.0 meter. These historical results, while not independently verified, have guided modern exploration. In 2022, Opawica completed a 4,306-meter drill program with 14 holes, confirming gold mineralization across a one-kilometer strike length. Eleven holes intersected grades above 1.0 g/t Au, with highlights such as 18.7 g/t Au over 0.35 meters and 1.52 g/t Au over 14.8 meters.

The 2022 program also identified two primary geological settings for gold: shear zones with quartz-carbonate-tourmaline veins and mineralized felsic tuffs. Importantly, nine target zones from that program remain untested, which the upcoming drilling will address. Opawica's comprehensive dataset, including geophysics and seismic surveys, has refined these targets, making the next phase critical for assessing the property's scale.

Yvan Bussieres, P.Eng., an independent Qualified Person under NI 43-101, has reviewed and approved the technical content of this release. The company cautions that forward-looking statements involve risks, including exploration uncertainties and potential delays, but remains optimistic about Arrowhead's potential to contribute to the company's growth.
